Harry Frazier
Harry Frazier is Managing Director and a founder of Colonnade Communications. He has 30 years of public affairs, media relations, and crisis communications experience, and a long association with each of Colonnade’s senior counselors.
Harry has extensive experience managing strategic communications and issues management programs for corporations, associations, government, and nonprofit clients ranging from corporate visibility and thought leadership to partnership/alliance building and reputation management.
He has provided crisis communications planning and response support across a variety of industries in the public and private sectors, including high-profile issues with international media profile and regulatory and stakeholder scrutiny. Examples in recent years include a public safety tragedy at a large U.S. utility company, food safety recalls by a prominent brand, governance and faculty conduct issues at a large public university, accusations of fraud by a major defense contractor, and investigations at several facilities of a behavioral health company. He also has supported more than 50 data breaches across the spectrum of security threats.
Prior to Colonnade Communications, Harry was a senior partner at Fleishman-Hillard, where he led crisis communications for the Washington, DC office, and served as co-chair of its Global Privacy and Data Security Practice. A former press assistant to Senator John Warner (R-VA), Harry has lectured on marketing and crisis communications at Johns Hopkins University, The University of Maryland, The University of Virginia, and the Army War College.
Donna Rohrer
Donna Rohrer is an experienced counselor in crisis communications, privacy and data security, and has researched and written extensively on transportation, cybersecurity, telecom, food safety and environmental issues. Her years as a newspaper writer and editor, Fortune 200 corporate communicator, and public affairs counselor have given her the insights to help clients successfully tell their stories in a variety of formats, from policy papers to speeches, bylined articles, and white papers.
She is experienced at risk assessment, crisis response planning, and crisis training, including scenario development and drills. She also has provided counsel to numerous corporate, association and non-profit clients, in areas ranging from managing data breaches to regulatory scrutiny of healthcare facilities and situations involving employee wrongdoing.
Before joining Colonnade Communications, Donna was a senior vice president in the public affairs practice of Fleishman-Hillard in the Washington, DC office, advising clients on crises and issues that impacted their operations and reputations. Previously, she worked as a vice president for CSX Corporation, a transportation holding company whose units included rail, container-shipping, barge, and trucking operations.
Donna also worked as a reporter and editor at three major regional newspapers in Virginia, Minnesota and Texas: The Virginian-Pilot and Ledger-Star; the Minneapolis Star Tribune; and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, respectively.
Britt Carter
Britt Carter has more than 20 years of public relations and communications experience, including specialties in issues management, crisis communications, and media training.
For the past decade, Britt’s work has included a focus on higher education issues. He has provided counsel to public and private colleges and universities on a variety of issues including: sexual assault, faculty and student misconduct, alcohol and substance abuse, Greek system, athletics, governance, personnel, and social/behavioral issues.
Britt’s career experience includes developing new brand identities for companies like Pfizer, Sara Lee, General Motors, KFC, and Sears, and creating marketing programs for local, regional, national, and international corporations. In addition, he has provided high-level communication consulting for clients in crisis, including product recalls, data security incidents, employee reductions, acquisitions, and reputation management. His work has included issues management for hospitals and healthcare systems.
Britt previously spent 13 years at Fleishman-Hillard, where he managed its North Carolina operations and served as the lead for its Higher Education Practice. Prior to that, he was a partner in FWV, a North Carolina-based advertising and public relations firm.
